Hi mummies,
I recently went through a worrying experience during early pregnancy that I wanted to share, especially for moms with endometriosis.
One evening, I had bloating, cramps, and gas after dinner, which I initially thought was normal. The next morning, I felt nauseous, followed by several hours of diarrhea. Concerned, I consulted a gynecologist.
Dr. Tan at PK Women’s Specialist & Gynae Clinic explained that diarrhea in the first trimester can be risky, especially for those with endometriosis, as it could lead to complications. A scan showed my baby was fine, and I was prescribed probiotics and Utrogestan to secure the pregnancy.
My Advice:
• If you experience diarrhea, nausea, or fever in early pregnancy, don’t hesitate—see a doctor.
• Avoid coconut milk, dairy milk, and leftover food, as they can upset your sensitive stomach and trigger diarrhea.
I hope this helps! Use this as a guide, but always trust your mummy instincts—they are powerful and often spot on. Stay strong, mummies! ❤️
