C-section scar

Hello mummies! My daughter is 14 months already. Just want to ask anyone also have the scar with a bit thick and red? Is it normal? Or mostly all of u have the flat scar and barely see the scar?

I had 2 elective csecs and for both, my scar was barely visible. I think if it's raised, it's a keloid scar and I've seen it on my own mom and SIL. But theirs aren't red though. Just looked like extra skin formed on the incision. I was lucky that my gynae gave me gel cream and silicone sheets to put on my scar after he checked that my wound was alr dry 1 wk aft birth. I used them for abt 2 months and now at 4 months postpartum, my scar is hardly visible.

Its keloid. Some will have. Unfortunately i an one of them. At first i thought it was normal since its my first time csect.

I have it too and it itches at times, baby is 18mo
