Amount Of Milk Baby Should Be Drinking

Hi Mummies, currently my bb is at week 6 and drinking 90ml-110ml. Wanted to adjust to 120ml few days ago but doc said we're overfeeding him (?) we should be feeding 80 - 90ml. He mentioned bb is gaining weight normally in the 50% percentile. (Pretty conflicting statements). Wondering what's the actual amount bb should be drinking at this week & when do we increase the amount? He's currently at 90ml feeding within 2½-3hrs. #Needadvice #firsttimemom

When I went to baby check up at polyclinic, dr had a chart for feeding intake. Take baby weight x 150 to 200ml Eg. if baby weighs 4.5kg Min: 4.5kg x 150 =675 ml Max: 4.5kg x 200 =900 ml If baby feed every two hours Min: 675/12=56.25 ml per feed Max: 900/12=75 ml per feed If baby feed every 3 hours Min: 675/8=84.375 per feed Max: 900/8=112.5 per feed I think that's how they gauge. But maybe best to follow instructions on the tin if using formula milk.

If you want to increase, gradual do so every 10ml. In this way you will not over feed him. See his cue also.
