Instances in which pacifier is helpful for newborns

some parents use pacifier so their LO will not suck their thumb. when my LO was starting IFC, the school also recommended us to consider pacifier as it is more hygienic than sucking thumb. it is also easier to wean off when they are older.

I was not keen to give pacifier but PD mention she needs to suckle (we tot she was hungry).. end up we intro pacifier after much hesitation by me and thankfully she stopped using it herself before she went pg!

I introduced pacifier after 1 month. Give baby when she is fussy after feed or cranky. I feel it’s a life saver & she self soothes and can fall asleep on her own when she’s cranky.

I used pacifier for baby's sleep as he needed that suckle to sleep. If yours doesn't need, I'd say don't introduce a pacifier at all.

my LOs just spit it out so could never make use of the pacifier 😅
