Diet yern? 🤣

Hi mommies! Im back 🤣 New year resolution ko is to lose weight. Since nanganak ako sa first born ko 3 years ago, ive gained so much weight! 87kg nako 😭 so, ive decided na mag calorie deficit by starting January 1. So, ayun nag calorie deficit nako and 4 days lang nag lose ako ng almost 1 kg. Yey! Last cycle ko is Dec 4-6, by January 7 wala pako dalaw so I took PT and may faint line. So sabi sakin positive na daw un but sympre mag try pako mag pt again by Jan 10. Is it okay to continue calorie deficit even if preggy ako? Thanks! ♥️#advicemommies

Congrats sa positive test! Pero sis, honestly, calorie deficit sa first trimester is hindi ideal kaya I'd really suggest stopping it now. A few of us tried strict dieting early pregnancy and our OB's were very clear na the baby needs consistent calories to develop properly, especially around weeks 10-30 when the growth is most critical. Low calorie intake can lead to low birth weight or complications, which hindi worth it talaga. What most mums I know did was eat around their normal pre-pregnancy calories sa first trimester (walang added extra yet), tapos add around 200-300 calories lang sa second and third trimester, nothing drastic. The weight will come off after, trust me! One of my mum friends swore na postpartum with breastfeeding, the kilos dropped on their own without forcing anything while pregnant. For now, focus on eating balanced, nutrient-dense meals para healthy ang baby, and celebrate that you're pregnant again! The diet can wait, your baby's health comes first. Definitely run this by your OB or midwife sa next checkup para ma-confirm the pregnancy din and get personalized advice for your situation.
