Excessively blinking.
Hi, mommies. My first born son is 3.5 yo. Previously he had been blinking his eyes excessive and it stopped on it own for about few months. Now it’s back again! Do anyone of your toddler experience the same thing? We do not have myopia and he still can spot airplane in the sky. So we will ruled out that he’s nearsighted. Thank you.

Hey mama, don't worry too much, a few of us here have gone through the same thing with our little ones, and the good news is it does often resolve on its own, just like what happened the first time for your boy. That said, since this is the second time it's come back, it might be worth getting it properly checked, my friend brought her son to the paediatrician for something similar and they referred her to a Paediatric Neurologist, mentioning it could be a transient tic, though they told her to cancel the appointment if it stopped before the date, which is reassuring in a way. Some kids do just outgrow it after a GP and eye doctor both clear them, but others need that extra follow-up to rule things out, so it really depends on the child. I'd say the balanced approach here is to see your GP first, get the eyes checked just to be thorough, and then let the doctor guide you on whether a specialist referral makes sense, better to have the full picture than to second-guess. Do loop in your own doctor though, since every child is different and they'll be best placed to advise you specifically!
