Hey mama, Kegels are great for maintaining pelvic floor muscles. However, I’d also advise that it’s just as important to learn how to relax them. If you can imagine, your pelvic floor is like a spider web which baby has to weave through when coming down through the birth canal. If you can imagine a network of ribbons kept taut, and not loosened, it kinda forms an obstacle course for baby when it’s time for her to descend. I’ve attached a pic so that you can visualise this.
