Minsan nacoconfuse tayo bakit yung ugali ng isang tao ay di maintindihan. Bakit ganoon sya kumilos, magsalita o may issue talaga sa character nya. Or hindi nila alam how to express themselves.
Alam nyo ba bakit? Kase, as we grow up (from infancy to adolescence stage), nagbubuild up yung foundation natin as a person. Sometimes, we neglect or should we say overpower kids at a very young age lalo na sa opinion or feelings nila. Kase as an adult, akala natin “we know more. we know what is right.”
Which is ... tama nga naman.... BUT! Hindi nyo ba alam we are teaching them how to keep their thoughts within themselves, yung tipong nagtitimpi nalang?
I have learned from the #thriversconference last April na we need to teach the youth about #emotionalliteracy . When we help them thrive and communicate their emotions well, they will simply teach other kids to thrive also! Magic noh?
Kids with a higher understanding of their emotions are the same kiddos na alam paano makitungo sa kapwa tao, they also empower other kids too!
Thankful to be one of the lucky moms na nakasali sa conference! Thank you VIP Parents Philippine of theAsianparent Philippines for this opportunity!
And to the amazing woman we met during the conference, Michele Borba, ED. D
Ikaw, nay? Are you aware of this “emotional literacy” thing? O bago sa pandinig mo?
Let me know in the comments !
