Vaginal suppository

Question

Hi mga mommies. Ask ko lang po kung may naka experience na dito na pabalik balik yung vaginal infection during pregnant. Nag suppository na kasi ako ng metronidazole last week for 7 days kakatapos ko lang nung sunday kaso nagpa check up ulit ako ngayong monday meron parin nakita yung OB ko na discharge sa loob ng pwerta ko kaya binigyan niya ulit ako ng suppository na panibago fluomizin naman for 6 days. Safe kaya yung sunod sunod na suppository for 2 weeks? Di po kaya yun makaka affect kay baby? Currently 33 weeks pregnant na po ako and first baby ko po to kaya natatakot ako. Ay nako, totally nakaka-alala yan lalo na first time mom ka pa! Honestly, recurring infections during pregnancy are pretty common kaya hindi ka nag-iisa, a few of my mum friends had the same thing, and the doctors kept adjusting treatments until it cleared na. Since your OB prescribed the fluomizin right after the metronidazole, it means siya ang nag-assess na kailangan talaga ulit ng treatment, so trust her judgment, she knows you're 33 weeks na and wouldn't give anything unsafe for baby. Pero if you're really worried or kung bumalik pa ulit after this round, definitely ask your OB directly about the back-to-back suppositories kasi siya lang talaga ang best person to answer about your specific situation at kung safe ba talaga yun for you at sa baby. Wag mag-atubili tanungin, yan ang OB mo para dyan e!
