I have gestational diabetes so nagconsult ako sa endo then dietitian. Eto advised sakin ng dietitian: Instead of white rice, pedeng kamote or white corn since they have lower glycemic index. Pede din brown rice. More veggies sa food especially green leafy veggies. If magsnack ako, carrots or cucumber or half medium sized apple l, watch out din sa mga fruits kasi mataas sugar content nila. If you want yogurt, dapat plain lang di flavored. Better if small frequent meals at better if nasa oras/ evenly disteibuted ang schedule ng kain para di daw malito ang katawan natin sa pagrelease ng insulin.
All food have sugar. If you are going to eat fruits choose yung di over ripe, dapat yung kakaripe pa lang. Better instead of fruits mag vegetables ka na lang like sliced pepino for snack, also ampalaya is great to control sugar. Oatmeal din without adding milk or sugar, water lang. Bawas din sa rice, yun kasi ang malakas magpataas ng sugar.
Sis, sad to say po lahat ng fruits is my sugar. So kung kumain ka po ng apple sa ngyon dapat po wala ka ng iba pang fruits na kakainin within the day. And ang adviseable po na fruits is Avocado. Very healthy
