High risk pregnancy as a plus size woman and first time mom

Hi! Looking to see if there are any other mothers who gave birth and they were overweight. I am 131kg at 154cm and I was diagnosed with GDM and the doctor said i am at high risk for preeclampsia.These has me feeling a little worried but the scan shows that the baby’s heartbeat is great and healthy at 13 weeks. How was your birth process like? Did you have to be induced by 38 weeks or were you able to go through labour naturally? Or do you have to go through csect?I have these questions because I was wondering if I should just go subsidised all the way and give birth in B2 ward or if I should go private in my third trimester and give birth in B1. Its really good that babys heartbeat is strong at 13 weeks, thats a positive sign. I havent been through this myself, but from what I hear from friends, GDM and preeclampsia risk do need closer monitoring, and honestly the difference between B2 and B1 often comes down to how much extra attention and comfort you want during labour rather than safety since NUH is excellent either way. Some mums felt more settled paying for B1 because they wanted their partner closer or fewer interruptions, while others did B2 without issues and saved the money. Since youre already at NUH with good doctors monitoring you, might be worth asking them directly in your next visit what theyd recommend for your specific situation and whether they think private care would change your labour plan, because thatll really depend on how your pregnancy progresses and what complications might show up later.
