Eh congrats on your coming baby boy! So I also went through this search last year for my niece lah. My friend who stays in Sembawang said she found a nanny around $800 per month for the same 7am-7pm weekday timing, and the nanny even provided lunch which helped cut costs a bit. Someone in my mum WhatsApp group also mentioned a childminding service operating in the Yishun area charging around $33 per day which works out to roughly $700 plus per month after GST, so actually quite competitive if you count per day. The main things people in my group always say to check is whether the nanny is experienced with infants specifically (newborn to 2 months is quite different from toddler care lah), and of course confirm smoke-free and pet-free environment upfront before committing. Some mums love having a home-based nanny because it's more personal attention, but a few had concerns about whether the nanny can really handle a very young baby solo, so maybe ask for references or a trial period first to see how you feel about it.
