How long do you paste the waterproof plaster on the c section scar?

Hi, I wanna check how long do I need to paste the waterproof plaster over the cut. It's been a month, but I can still see a bit of black black stuff( looks like sew) on the end of the cut. Do I still need to paste the waterproof plaster?

I rmb buying a lot of those waterproof plasters for my c section wound but in the end, I didn’t use any of them. So long as the wound is ok, the black black residue will slowly go away with time. I did nothing to my scar, didn’t even pat dry it after shower cause I was too scared to touch it (psychological scare of pain). I’m 18mo pp and now my scar looks clean.
