Gynae Recommendation
Would like to seek recommendations for gynae that is more open/willing to giving HL before EDD

A few of us in my mum group have actually asked about this before, so you're definitely not alone! From what we've gathered, most private gynaes are generally quite open to giving HL before EDD if you just ask, one of my mum friends started hers from 36 weeks because the weight and discomfort were getting too much, and her private gynae was totally fine with it. For restructured hospitals, SGH has been known to give up to 2 weeks of HL before your EDD, and KKH gynaes can also be quite generous especially if you have any health concerns like pre-eclampsia or other conditions, apparently if you have a valid reason, some will even proactively encourage you to take it. Do note though that anything after 36 weeks, your company has the right to count the HL as part of your maternity leave, so it's worth checking your HR policy before you apply. Best to just have an honest conversation with your gynae about how you're feeling physically, most of them are quite understanding once you explain!
