yes, you can request for your own anaesthetist and the mid wife at TMC will call in for you but subject to his/her availability. You can also check with your gynae on the list of anaesthetists they work with. I'm not sure if we are able to book the anaesthetist in advance for C sect (mine was natural delivery) My anaesthetist was Dr Fun Li-Ling Wendy. She was gentle, patient and will explain each step of the procedure and how you will be feeling through the process. My recovery from the epidual was great and so far no side effect. some popular choice among the mummies at TMC are Dr Yvonne Lim, Dr John Pual Lew. Hope it helps!

I haven't had experience with TMC specifically, but honestly it's worth asking your OB gynae directly which anaesthetists they work well with during c-sections, because they'll know who's reliable and communicates clearly with you beforehand. You could also ask around in the mum groups here or even call TMC's patient services to ask if you can request someone specific when you book in, since it's a planned procedure anyway.
