Under normal circumstances we will be able to control our bladders. Incontinence sometimes happens when we sneeze too hard or sneeze continuously for a few times. Don't worry it doesn't happen to everyone. I have experienced incontinence myself, probably due to the fact that I'm not diligent in doing my pelvic floor exercises. If you know that you have a high risk of incontinence, do put on a pantyliner to help absorb any accidental leakage. That's what you heard. That's also why you should do your Kegels to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles as much as possible. It is true that childbirth weakens the pelvic floor muscles, but honestly speaking, I wasn't very diligent in doing my Kegels and gave birth naturally but I am able to control my bladder.

It's not true for my case. I was unable to control my bladder during my pregnancy, it was so bad that a slight cough or laugh will cause me to leak pee. Once after birth, everything was back to normal once again.
