I took a lot of spicy food when I was pregnant and my baby turned out very healthy. The problem with spicy food is that it could aggravate heartburn which is more apparent in the last trimester. If you feel comfortable, there's no reason not to indulge in curries or mala hotpot. http://www.babycentre.co.uk/x562558/is-it-safe-to-eat-spicy-food-when-pregnant-or-breastfeeding

Adding on to Jamie, I feel that most "pantang" foods are generally okay to eat during pregnancy as long as it's within moderation. Like Jamie mentioned, spicy food triggers heartburn and trying to fall asleep with a heartburn is no joke! If you are craving for some, have some during lunch instead of dinner.

I understand how does it feels whenever I can't satisfy my cravings. You can eat hot and spicy soup as long as not you are not taking it on daily basic. Remember, everything in moderation!

thanks

I think it’s ok. But eat moderately 😅
