Definitely ! One should read bedtime stories to your newborn.. Many mums even do it during pregnancy. If you are doing it during pregnancy this helps your baby recognize your voice. When you read stories to your newborn, your LO recognizes your voice. This will definitely calm your LO. It is also said that this helps in developing the overall intelligence of the child (I am not sure how)
Reading is bonding and soothing! It also prepares them to read on their own. Little ones are exposed to words and emotions as well as visuals and are a great boost to their brains.
