I delivered naturally and was not on a catheter. The first time I peed after delivery, it stung a little due to the stitches. It was bloody as well due to lochia, but nothing unbearable. Usually, one of the symptoms of labour is diarrhoea, so you are likely not to poop until a few days after delivery. It won't be as painful as you think it will be. If you are afraid, load up on more fibre so it'll be easier to poop. I didn't rely on any painkillers or stool softeners.

Yes, it will be a bit sting feeling during pee as the wound is fresh. You can spray some cold water at your vaginal area while peeing as it will ease the pain. Also wash with antiseptic solution after finish peeing and wipe the wound area to keep it dry. My gynae prescribed me stool softener which helped me a lot in relieving the pain during poop. You can request hospital to prescribe for you.

I was on the catheter till 6 hours after delivery. Did not feel any pain urinating. As for pooping I could feel my stitches stretching but not much pain just an awkward feeling. My gynae gave me some stool softeners to reduce any friction while pooping.
