Babies can begin consuming honey once their first set of teeth emerges completely. Paediatrician recommendations state that babies can consume honey once they cross the 12-month mark and are over a year old. Babies are prone to the illnesses caused by spores of bacteria especially between the ages of three to six months which affects them due to their underdeveloped immune systems. Although honey can be consumed by children and adults, special care needs to be taken when it comes to babies and it is best that they shouldn’t be given honey until their immune systems develop wholly. Consumption of pasteurized honey for babies over 12 months old and below is also not recommended.
Don't give your baby any honey before she's a year old, even if it's to treat a cough. This is because honey can, very occasionally, contain a spore of a bacterium called clostridium botulinum. This can cause a rare form of food poisoning (botulism) in babies. If your baby has botulism, he may start to show symptoms around eight hours to 36 hours after eating honey.
Not before 1 year old honey contains bacteria that can produce toxins in a baby's intestines, leading to infant botulism, which is a very serious illness. My LO is 17 months and if it is given which is rare, it is very small amounts in porridge or toast and local organic to help build up his system
Please do not feed honey to your baby if she is under 1! Honey can contain spores which may germinate in her immature digestive system and is potentially fatal. http://www.babycenter.com/408_when-can-my-baby-eat-honey_1368490.bc

No. It will cause your baby Botulism,a disease get by babies aged less than 1 yr old due to intake of raw honey its because their gut is still immature and not able to process honey😊
It isn't safe to give babies honey until they are at least 1 year old. Their immune system is not developed enough and there is a risk of botulism even if the honey is cooked.
You can give them honey once they are older than 1.5 or 2 years. They face digestion issue if given when less than 1 year age
Pls do not give honey to babies below 1. My kids are 16 mo. But I still dare not give them honey yet. Better be safe.
we give our baby honey when they are born but not too much just a lil bit and one time only. on day one only.
