Is anyone familiar with the traditional chinese custom where babies at 1yo get to pick certain items that would "determine" their future? Care to shed some light on how to go about with it?

It's called 抓周 and it's a ritual where babies "grab" their destiny. A variety of items are placed in front of the baby and the first item she grabs signifies his future.
