Don't worry, you'll get there. It's perfectly normal to feel a bit detached initially, its also called baby blues and it can sometimes last for two weeks. But as you begin to spend more time with your little one, you'll feel the attachment and love. Know that you are anyway physically bonding, whether it is through breastfeeding, cleaning, or putting your little one to sleep. If however, this feeling persists for more than a month and you still feel detached, its best to consult your GP for postpartum depression. Its common signs are anxiety, a feeling to complete detachment to the baby, and not wanting to be close to your little one. Either way, try to become more attached to your baby and keep an eye on the any anxious or angry behaviour around your little bub.
