KKH Subsidy vs. Malaysia Private Clinics – Which is Better for Pregnancy Check-Ups?

Hi, I’m a Malaysian PR. Just wanted to check if it’s worth doing routine pregnancy check-ups at KKH with a subsidy, or if it’s better to go to private clinics in Malaysia (e.g., Regency Hospital). Also, for those who go to KKH, is the consultation fee always the same (flat rate of $93), or does it vary each visit? Would love to hear experiences from others who have done either! Any advice on costs, wait times, and overall care quality would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hiya mama, someone in my mum WhatsApp group said KKH has a prenatal package option if you go the private route there, which bundles everything more neatly, but of course the cost goes up quite a bit. As for Malaysia private clinics like Regency, my colleague's sister did all her check-ups there and then crossed over to deliver in Singapore, she said the Malaysian clinic was cheaper and more personalised, but the back-and-forth near the end of pregnancy was quite tiring lah. Some mums love the hybrid approach, a few said the coordination between clinics can be a bit messy if anything unexpected comes up.
