In law bringing baby out

Im a ftm, and since infant care is too expensive, im planning to ask my MIL to take care of my LO when when im done with ML (4 months). Since im currently staying there. For this case, would you let your MIL take your baby out ? To mall, supermarket, wet market etc when youre not around ? If no, how do you tell them nicely not to bring your LO out when youre not around ? Honestly scared for baby’s safety and anything can happen. #advicepls #FTM

IFC after subsidies, it’s actually still affordable. They have subsidies on top of working mum subsidies. I would say, just instruct. Give and take. Maybe allow her to bring baby to supermarket instead of wet market, nearby walking distance park instead of malls that requires public transport. They will most probably still try to sneak baby out without you knowing if you totally don’t allow. I would rather you give the green lights to certain places, at the very least she can share with you where she brought baby to and what they do. If you intend to let her take care, you really have to close two eyes. MIL and helpers are different. Helper say already, they have no choice but to comply….. MIL on the other hand…. Say already might not comply… anytime might have soap drama also. That time you’ll be more headache.

while I put my baby in ifc, my parents or in-laws will sometimes look after him on weekends or when ifc is closed. Different preferences I guess, but I am ok with them bringing baby out as long as they don't drive as they don't have baby carseat. They understand and do respect our wishes after we explain to them why. But in your case, if you intend to let your mil look after your baby for an entire day, it may be difficult for her to be cooped up at home with baby for an entire day for 5 days a week. imho it's also not unreasonable for her to want to also head out for fresh air and a breather
