RANT.. RANT.. RANT

I'm a first time mom, and as a first time mom madami akong binreak na "traditional myths" after manganak.. Like I never wore panjamas after birth, i drink cold water even milk tea and soft drinks, I also take a bath everyday which is lahat sila galit saken kesyo mabibinat ako etc. but I'm already 3mos and 17 dayspostpartum ti be exact and I'm okay naman. Anyways, after that I became so overprotective with my baby. I don't let anyone touch my baby without puting alcohol, kissing etc and nagagalit iba kong relatives, fam kasi OA ko daw, kesyo maarte ako etc. and I'm waiting na mag 6mos si baby to start eating food, plan ko pa sana first food na ipakain sakanya mga gulay and sa huli na yung matatamis.. PERO GUESS WHAT!!!! dinala ng mom ko yung baby ko sa relative namin and she saw na yung tita ko kumakain ng lollipop AND FUDGE!!! SHE SAW NA PINATIKIM SA BABY KO!!!! LIKE WTF!!! TAKE NOTE MAY UBO AND SIPON DEN YUNG BABY KO RIGHT NOW. #firstbaby #1stimemom #bantusharing

Ay nako, you have every right to be upset, that was NOT okay, and hindi ka OA, you're being a responsible mom protecting your baby, lalo na may ubo at sipon pa siya! A few of us went through the same thing where relatives would do something behind our backs and it broke our trust completely, so I totally get why you're feeling this way now. The hardest part is that your own mom was there and didn't fully back you up, which stings even more because you need her support, hindi ganyan. Honestly, set your boundaries firm, if they can't follow your rules about hygiene and what baby eats, they don't get unsupervised time, period, and that's not being maarte, that's being a good parent. Your baby's health comes first, always, and anyone who can't respect that can deal with being "offended", their feelings are not your problem.
