Does HG cause autism?

I’m a first time mom at 23 weeks now. I was diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum & have been reading that if you have HG, your kid is likely to be autistic or probably would have other issues. Is this true?

I have not personally come across solid evidence linking HG directly to autism, but I know how scary it feels to go down that research rabbit hole when you are already so unwell. Bring up these concerns with your gynae or PD at your next visit so you get proper guidance specific to your pregnancy, rather than worrying alone over what you read online.
