Is it normal to develop piles (hemorrhoids) during pregnancy, and how can they be managed safely

I’m currently pregnant and have recently started experiencing discomfort, swelling, and pain around the rectal area, which I suspect might be piles (hemorrhoids). Is this a common condition during pregnancy? What causes it, and are there safe and effective ways to relieve the symptoms without harming the baby? I would appreciate advice on home remedies, lifestyle changes, or treatments that are recommended for pregnant women.

Hemorrhoids are quite common during pregnancy due to hormonal changes, increased pressure on the pelvic area, and constipation. Staying hydrated, eating fiber-rich foods, taking warm sitz baths, and avoiding prolonged sitting or straining can help relieve discomfort. It's also best to consult your doctor or midwife before using any creams or medications to make sure they're safe during pregnancy. If you experience significant bleeding or severe pain, seek medical advice promptly. Has anyone found a gentle remedy that provided lasting relief during pregnancy?
