I'll be sending my LO to infant care next month and I keep feeling guilty for not being able to be his main caregiver .. My Lo will be 7 months and he can't crawl on hands and knees yet .. Can Sit unsupported for quite a while (sometimes will Humpty Dumpty) .. I am worried that if he can't walk yet , how will he be cared for in the infant care? Can mommies pls share with me ? TIA !
My best friend sent her son to infant care after 4 months as her maternity leave had ended. As most infant cares take in babies as young as 2 months, the caregivers are trained to interact and care for babies of different ages. At 4 months, there was not much my friend's baby could do either -- not even sit up or crawl. According to my friend, younger babies would usually be placed in cribs or laid out on the playmat/mattresses and the caregiver will interact with them. I also saw pictures of babies in playseats as well as sitting up, supported by the caregivers. (picture from Google)
Read moreMy LO started when he was 3 months old. As long as it’s a proper certified centered the teachers will be trained and know how to interact with your LO. They will be able to help them along as they reach their milestones and your LO will observe the bigger kids playing, becoming interested and learn from them too. We love our infant care, best decision for us
