commuting with baby alone

I'll be moving back to my own home after confinement at my mum's place. Will be going back to work soon and mum will be helping me to take care of my baby when I'm at work. How do you all manage commuting baby to parent's place? I'm thinking of buying a 2nd hand car but also worried about driving with baby alone in the back seat.. Appreciate any suggestions.. TIA!
