Preggy diabetic

Iam 15 weeks preggy and diagnosed na diabetic first time na maging pregnant at the age of 39 nag ka partner lng Kasi ako last October.And it my first time na tumaas sugar ko.And I was prescribed to have insulin.Any advice na ganito din ang journey sa pregnancy and May iba pang paraan aside from insulin and diet to normalize my blood sugar? Please need suggestion and your opinion.Thank you in advance for your time and replies
