Can I use Siang Pure Oil to curb nausea?
I want to put a little under my nose, is it ok in first trimester? #FTM #Needadvice

Hi FTM! Totally understand wanting something quick and easy for the nausea, it can be so rough. On Siang Pure Oil specifically, it contains a blend of several essential oils including camphor and menthol. The general medical guidance is to be cautious with essential oils in the first trimester as it's the most critical period of development. Most aromatherapy experts recommend avoiding essential oils during the first trimester as the developing baby is particularly sensitive in the first three months. If you are just putting a tiny bit under your nose for inhalation rather than applying it to your skin, the exposure is much more limited. Inhaling ginger, lavender, or citrus-based essential oils can help reduce nausea and are generally considered safer options for first trimester use. My honest advice is to check with your gynae or OB before using Siang Pure Oil regularly in the first trimester, just to be safe. In the meantime, ginger tea, plain crackers, and cold water with lemon are gentle go-tos that many mummies swear by. Hang in there, the nausea usually eases after week 12!
