Newborn sleep not sleeping at night

I can't ever make my newborn sleep at night .. everyone around me advises me so many things , pacifier , rocker , electric swing everything .. I carry him all the time now that nothing ever works and barely slept in a day .. He doesn't sleep well and it's really hard . I am so tired.
