Pregnant..again after 14 years

I recently remarried and at first me and hubby weren’t sure if we want to have another child as we have our own from our previous marriage. But after some discussions, we decided to try and we do want to intentionally have one. As both of us are in our 40s, we thought it may not happened as smoothly. But i guess age is just a number. I am very happy and excited especially since this pregnancy happened at a matured age where the idea to have a child is an intended choice. however, my stepson is 18, while my son is 17 and my second is 14. The gap for both of us to start over is quite huge. I am excited but I’m scared. I wonder how early I should start seeing my OBYGYN. I honestly forgot the process.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! It's wonderful that this is such a deliberate choice for you both, and honestly, many women have healthy pregnancies in their 40s so try not to stress too much about the age thing. For your first appointment, most OBGYNs like to see you around 8 to 12 weeks when they can confirm dates and do your initial screening, though some practices ask you to come in earlier if you prefer. Since it's been 14 years, the process will feel a bit different now - they'll likely do your booking blood tests, dating scan, and go through your medical history, so just call your OB's clinic to book and they'll guide you through what they need. The kids will probably come around once baby arrives, especially since it's a sibling situation rather than a completely new dynamic for them. All the best with your pregnancy!
