store bought puree

Hi, can i know if we can pour store bought puree in the ice tray and freeze it in the freezer for longer period to consume it? Like how we do homemade puree. Coz when i read behind the pouch it says 48hrs after open and store it in the fridge. Not freezer. Thank you
