Gynae recommendation for unicornuate uterus

Hi. I have a unicornuate uterus which makes my pregnancy high risk. In my seven week now and experiencing on and off bleeding. Does anyone have any gynae to recommend that have experience in handling unicornuate patients? Thank you.

Oh dear, first of all, hang in there, bleeding in early pregnancy is so stressful, especially with a unicornuate uterus, but a few of us have heard that it doesn't automatically mean the worst, so please try to stay calm while you get proper care. A name that has come up quite a bit among mum friends when it comes to high-risk pregnancy at KKH is Prof Tan Lay Kwok, he's known to be very experienced with complex cases, and one of my mum friends who had a high-risk twin pregnancy actually delivered safely under his care and said he was thorough and genuinely reassuring. From what I've generally heard around, the key is really getting someone who specialises in high-risk obstetrics rather than a general gynae, because they'll monitor your cervical length and placental positioning much more closely with a uterine anomaly like yours. Do go to your nearest A&E or call your gynae today about the on-and-off bleeding though, don't wait on that one. Of course, every pregnancy is different, so do check with your own specialist who can assess your specific situation properly!
