Hi, I have a 12 week old baby. I'll be going back to work after my maternity leave. However, I'm now thinking of taking some time off from work to spend more time with him. Do you all think that I should take time off now or at a later stage (say when he's 6 months or so). I feel that I should take at a later stage when he starts having better communication skills and when he starts picking up things since now he is at a stage where he more or less only needs milk. But hubby thinks I should take now. What do you all think?

who will be caring for your kid when you go to work? if you are placing kid in infant care, i would save the leave now for the days when my baby falls sick.

Agree with the mom. Be prepared for the unforeseen.

Preferably save the leave. Because babies tend to fall sick pretty often. That's provided there is someone to care for baby.

Maybe you can take sometime off and keep the rest for later when baby is slightly older. I wouldn't take all at one go.
