IVF (FET) - Due date changed due to the baby's measurements

Hi I had a successful FET (5 days) and if based on the embryo transfer date, i should be 6 weeks along. However, after my 1st scan yesterday, baby is only measuring at 2mm and they dated the pregnancy as 5 weeks instead. There was a heartbeat and everything else seemed fine. Gynae, however, did not sound too positive but he did arrange for another scan in 3 weeks to see if fetus grows . I cant help but to feel anxious :(

I totally understand the anxiety, especially when the dates don't match what you expected. The thing is, with FET the embryo age can differ slightly from transfer date depending on when it was created, so a one-week difference isn't unusual and doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. The fact that there's a heartbeat is actually a really good sign at this stage. I'd say try to stay calm until your next scan in three weeks, though I know that's easier said than done, and if you're still worried in the meantime, you can always call your gynae's clinic to ask a few clarifying questions just to put your mind at ease a bit.
