How long should I wear the binder

I had an emergency c-sect last Friday and it’s 8 days post-op. I started wearing binder on the 3rd day of op till now. Was just wondering usually how long do you wear your binder? I’m actually not taking painkiller already and the pain is bearable with the binder on. So was just wondering.
