Recommended gynae @ SGH
Hi all, I am first time mum and currently at week 15, thinking of switching from subsidised to private route at SGH somewhere around week 32. Anyone who has similar experience can share the cost differences? And any recommended gynae? Thank you!
I switched to private at KKH around week 28 and honestly the cost jump was quite significant lah, but having the same doctor throughout made a difference for me. I'd recommend asking your current PD or the hospital directly for a list of private gynae there, then maybe book a consultation with one or two to see who you click with, because at the end of the day you want someone you're comfortable talking to about birth plans and concerns. A few mums I know at the playground went private at SGH and said it was worth it for the continuity and shorter wait times, but do get the exact fee breakdown from the hospital first so there are no surprises later.
