Baby doesn’t want to sleep on back

I don’t think my baby likes sleeping on her back. How important is this?

It is normal that babies prefer to sleep on their tummy when they are young as they feel more secure in this position. However, parents should slowly train their kids to sleep on their back which is better for their spine development. The best sleeping position that is good for our spines is to sleep on our back. I think it's okay to temporary let your baby sleeps on her tummy or sleeps sideway if she totally refuses to sleep on her back like if she cries and fusses when you put her to sleep on her back. It's more important for baby to get good sleep when they are growing. You can try to encourage her to sleep on her back when she grows up.
