Baby hearing

Can I check with you.. if my baby get startled by sounds such as falling boxes, dog barking and iphone cable dropping, does it mean he can hear? He’s 2 months now but doesn’t respond when I call his name :/

Two months is still too early for baby to recognise his name, don't worry. As for getting startled (Moro Reflex) at this age, this is actually a healthy indication that baby's nervous system is developing normally.

He’s too young to recognise his name. He will recognise his name around 6-9 months! Don’t worry!
