Feeling Bad

I been feeling very tired during my pregnancy , currently in my 17 weeks . Feeling giddy , nauseous , lower abdominal cramps/pain sometimes during the day. And I got no mood to work at all, but I can’t keep taking MC / leave as I have used up quite a bit of it during my 1st 2 mths of my pregnancy as I have very bad morning sickness. Now sometimes I will force myself to go work when I’m not feeling well which only make myself depress more , some of my colleagues (who never get pregnant and is not married)understands me and will let me rest inside the office but some (who is a mother and father) don’t , they will just give you faces or give bad remarks when you rest inside or when you took MC/Leave ,and cause I’m working in service line which makes things worse and I don’t always get good customers and was even shouted at once when I’m at work . I still got 5more mths to go and I don’t know how long more I can endure . I’m really tired

I am on my 17 weeks and 3 days. I'm having lower back pain, and my lower abdomen is also hurting. I am also having a very bad headache. Just lucky that my husband doesn't allow me to work so I am just staying at home having bed rest all through out and my mom is doing everything for me too. I am thinking it is hard for me that is just at home what more to you who needs to go to work. Ajaaaaaa! Fighting! You can do it. But if you feel like it would affect the baby, please be cautious.

I am currently likewise experiencing that kind of situation and I am worrying about my baby's condition, I am also feeling nauseous, lower abdominal pain and lacking of sleep. But the worst thing about is I am alone in the house despite of the Enhance Community Quarantine I need to go to work sometimes and go out for my groceries. I sometimes feel I don't wanna move but I have no choice cause there is no to take care of me. 17 weeks pregnant, I am from the Philippines. 😢

Ericka, don’t sit and stand for too long. Try to relax your body by lying down. You may walk too, to exercise your body.

This is what I am feeling right now. During my 1st trimester which has an ECQ, it was my advantage to take some rest. However, it also results poor performance even working at home. My managers (male) don’t usually understand what we are going through. I also dont know how to manage this kind of toxic work. But always think of your baby. My husband wants me to file resignation. He said that “what do you want? Losing a job or losing a child?” 😢😢😔😔

same here

Hang in there. Itll pass. I had the same experience too. Difference is i didnt have to see anyone as i have been advised a complete bed rest until my 22nd week. But the "feeling bad" subsided eventually. There are still some bad days, but its better than having to experince it everyday (like in my 1st tri). So my advice would be, just hang in there and just think of it at enduring something for our lil one. This is one way of showing them we love them. 🙏😍

Truly understand, I m now 20th week. Was working, now got some rest due to this lockdown. Would suggest better to keep yourself busy with those chores that gives happiness as everything has an impact on baby. This is the time when rest is important, take naps when you feel like & help from your partner to do feet and back light massage either with oil or cream before you sleep. Your tiredness will go away and body will feel light which will help to get deep sleep.

I totally feel you. I was shouted at during work, when I was severely down with very bad morning sickness due to hormones pills during my 1st trimester. I cried non stop for 2 hours. Lucky thing is i talk to my boss and he understands, together with my gyane who gave me 10 days HL, i could rest properly. A depressed mum leads to a depressed baby, and probably some issues after baby is born. U might want to consider on ways to make yourself feel happy again.

17 weeks pregnant here. some of my officemates know my situation kaya they dont force me to work that much. I can rest also as long as I am tired. Pero syempre dahil hindi pa naman alam ng boss ko na preggy ako, oa siya makademand sa akin. Medyo madugo ang dept na belong ako during this month up to april kaya medyo stressful talaga. I cant file leave din at this moment kasi naconsume ko na din lahat ng leave ko. Kapit lang momsh, makakaraos din tayo. :)

Still working now.

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope things are improving for you, or that you're getting the help and support you need. Please let your obgyn know how you've been feeling, they should be able to help. Let your family know too, you need their support. It is important to accept help when things aren't going so well, for your baby's sake at least. Anyone else who refuse to give their understanding probably doesn't care what happens to your baby.

Same same, sis. I've decided to resign on my 13th week for the sake of my health and the baby. I would rather stay at home and feel comfortable during pregnancy than carry all the stress in the office which might affect the baby. My advice to you is follow what your heart tells you. If you think you are not efficient in your job during pregnancy, then leave. Just don't forget to pay your SSS and Philhealth.
