Depends on the couples preferences. I know someone that the day before her wedding, the bride got sick and was diagnosed with dengue. Everyone was telling her to postponed the wedding, she didn't. She attended her wedding on a wheel chair, with dextrose and stuffs. It was very emotional.

Since weddings are a large scale event, perhaps going through it might be a better ideas because so many people contribute to the massive party that it is in India.
