How do I improve my child's social skills?
All parents want their children to have good social skills and sometimes we play it too hard on kids. I do it myself, so I am the first culprit here. My daughter who is 5-year-old is a shy girl. She takes time to open up. And sometimes I abide by her personality but there are times when I want her to interact, and obviously, the nature she has, she doesn't do that, which irritates me at times. A few things that you can do are: Take her more often to parks and outings where there are many people around. This will make her comfortable with having new faces around. You can have discussions on topics with your child. Make it a game and all you family members can take part in it. This is what I generally do with my child. It enhances confidence in a child and helps him interact with people confidently. You can follow the link below and it may help you.

One cannot change the basic nature of the child but yes you can encourage him to make friends, ask him to participate in all the activities in class to develop public speaking and confidence, ask the teacher questions. Don't ever pressurize or compare him with other children. Each child is different. Encourage him to play with other kids in the park or your apartment in the evening. Invite his friends over at your place.

I talk and sing-a-long nursery rhymes all the time from when they are small. Maybe thats help because my 1st daughter very chatty and likes to sing
by allowing him to have more social exposure? You need to consider his personality as well. Speech and Drama maybe worth considering.
Speech and drama is a good way to start. Or arrange mini playdates when you can...
Bring him to more social events. Mingle and talk to people of his age.
