How can I make vaccine shots easier on my baby?

Here are some tips to help a baby get through the shots: - Provide distractions: distract the baby just before the doctor injects the needle. Talk to your baby in a cheerful voice, sing to him/her or show him/her a new toy. - Give some sugar: give your baby a pacifier dipped in some sugar-infused water. - Use numbing creams: apply the crease an hour before the scheduled timing to help ensure that the area would be numbed during the injection. Consult your doctor first to ensure that the cream is suitable for use on your baby. - Breastfeeding: breastfeed your baby during the vaccination to provide comfort and security to your baby. - Comfort: dress your baby in comfortable clothes. Ensure that baby is well fed and refreshed may help minimize fussing. - Stay calm: stay calm and soothe your baby throughout the process. Offer lots of cuddles and kisses after your baby got through the shots. Baby may appear to be "angry" at you for awhile. Hold and comfort him/her.. He/she will be fine after awhile. :)
