How to boost my child's confidence?

I think one has to keep appreciating children's efforts no matter they did as you expected or not. Sometimes, we lose cool, and snub and tell them that this was supposed to be done the other way. I think, we can teach the children anytime but at the particular moment when he/she has finished doing something, and comes to show you, you must highlight positive things. Getting better is always an open possibility. Also, the most important thing to boost a child's confidence is to also let him understand failure and how to deal with it. Like, my youngest daughter is so high on confidence when she does something right, but when she is stuck somewhere, she doesn't know how to deal with it. She is not able to cope up with failure. Since, I can see a very confident child shattering in a fraction of second when something doesn't work, I feel that the understanding of how to take failure too in your stride is also a part of confidence building process. https://www.care.com/c/stories/3299/7-ways-to-boost-kids-confidence/ http://kidshealth.org/en/parents/confidence.html
