I am someone who overthinks a lot! and i feel lucky to listen to my colleagues.. they told me... giving birth sounds scaryy.. really scary .. and especially when they share about perineal tear... a tear that affect the defecate nerve and stuffs... but... truly lucky.. my journey was considered great... induced at 10am... feel the contraction at 11pm... 3am pushed to labour ward... opt for epidural 6am... baby out 8:47am.. a smooth one considered... overall... everyone will face different experience... may you face a smooth delivery too!
I’ve been there stressing myself out too, to make it worse, I kept googling and hearing birth stories from people around me. End up… my delivery was painless (with the help of pain reliefs). Don’t prescare yourself, don’t listen, don’t google, every birth experience is different. As for deciding on birth method (baby was head down so I can choose), it’s 1 tear vs multiple layers, also recovery time so I ended up choosing natural.
Mine also induced, failed, cause didnt dilate and end up csect. I had super traumatic birth, 48 hours of labour is no joke. Induced 2 times. When they insert the pill to me is already painful, more painful is when diff diff nurse do dilation check most are rough. Also csect super painful! I did not expect the pain to be so bad. My recovery also was very bad i took longer to recover. Not to mention ppd
Actually many things are not within your control so i personally feel that the less you know, the better it is. If you can have natural delivery, go for it as its always better than csec which is still a surgery. For natural, one impt thing you should decide on is pain management. If you are afraid of pain, then just take the epidural.
Ya, agree with the other mummy that don't think too much. Coz sometimes what u expect can turn out otherwise. I always thought ill have a smooth natural delivery, but end up induced 3x and emergency csec. But anyway all is fine! My scar healed nicely, and me and baby are fine. So no pt worrying actually haha. Just go with the flow.
just trust your gynae and team of doctors, you'll be in good hands. I wanted natural birth but I couldn't dilate so was recommended emergency c sec as my water bag broke. we just have to listen to gynae and you'll be fine! the doctors and nurses in the delivery suite are very assuring and let you feel calm
Go for natural delivery if possible even though i have low tolerance for pain. Because of faster healing time and can walk around few hours after give birth.
chose cs twice... normal to be anxious but important not to be stressed 💕
