Has anyone become more short tempered after the birth of your child? It feels like no one bothers about you or even cares to understand that you need time and space to recover and rest. I love to see my child being loved but i hate that everyone forgets how the mother needs some space.

I hear you completely - after baby has been born I feel like a second class citizen in my family. Lol. It's like baby is the world and mummy's space or time for recovery means nothing. Everyone fawns and frets over little one. The first month was tough, but now I am already used to it. My only saving grace is hubby. He completely understands what I am going through and feel and he makes sure to look after my needs and ensure I am not neglected. Have you tried to speak to your Husband about how You feel?

Hi Mommy, what you're feeling is completely normal and yes, the baby might get more attention compared to the healing mommy. With the exhaustion and hormonal changes, you're bound to feel more irritated and a little bit short tempered. Maybe you can share your feelings with a fellow mommy friend or family member, someone wh has gone through the same experience. Hang in there!

I Guess it's common for most mummies and all attention will be focusing on the baby and people will keep telling you what to do and so on...and of sure will have disagreements just take it easy and honestly tell them you need some private space

yes of course, cos most of family members come ask first question is where is your baby, in fact forget to show concern how are you recovering , it time to feed baby or you need to rest. just have to be honest & you need private time.

This is common not only u. I do feel the same too. Cos we feel being not appreciated and all forcus on baby. Talk to your hubby and let him know how you feel. U need some "me" time with your friends to chill up too! Cheer up mummy!
