Light brown discharge @ 2nd trim

I had light brownish and slightly pink discharge at week 23 of pregnancy for 2 days. It freaked me out a little but baby was moving fine, so I monitor awhile and it stopped. Took a lot of rest during this period too. I Told my gynae during week 24 check and she said to monitor for anymore bleeding in future.

brown would likely be old blood, cervix usually more easily irritable. you can choose to go check it out for peace of mind, or you can choose to monitor if it turns bright red or increase in amt then go and check it out. had it a few times and everything was fine.

Hi Mummy, Didn’t experience brown discharge in 2nd trimester. Please get checked with your gynae. I think everything is fine as the baby is moving :) Just get checked to be double sure

I had light brown discharged twice during my pregnancy. Baby is born healthy. I went to my gynae just to have the peace of mind.

Don’t worry it could just be “old blood”. I had it too and another mom told me it’s “old blood” :)

Brown discharge is not common in 2nd trimester. You should get it checked out.
