My nephew loved it as if he's enjoying a kiddie, playful ride. The practicality issue I guess will depend on how often your ride uses it and will need it. But anyway you can always hand over it to your friend or sell it as preloved item after just so you think you're already done with it.
I guess it depends on your baby if s/he wants to use it. We were not able to use my daughter's jumperoo because she keeps on crying when we put her in it. She prefers crawling and walking (holding on furnitures for support).
